memorial day weekend

Hope everyone had an excellent memorial day weekend! I was blessed to be able to spend mine with my aunt, cousin, future cousin-in-law, & friends. We had so much fun cooking, grilling, gossiping, & watching tons of movies. I also got to bond with my aunt's new puppy, Sweet Boy. He's an angel as long as there are no other dogs, cows, squirrels, bugs, etc. around. Sunday night, we went to see Bridesmaids & it was absolutely hilarious. Recommended to anyone who needs a good laugh! Also, today is very special because it is Matthew's last exam for the CPA. I've been praying for weeks & I am looking forward to him adjusting back to his life & enjoying himself once again! He truly is amazing & I don't think he realizes that he deserves the world. I've attached a few pictures I took while at my aunt's this weekend & there might be some more to come once I edit them! Enjoy!!

here lately

Summer has finally arrived. I've been working & working & working & working. I am a personal assistant to a chemist/hoarder. His office literally looks like a tornado hit it. He has kept every possible piece of paper over the years, including sticky notes & memos to himself. We've been organizing, throwing away, & filing for the past week & a half now. So far, we've made a lot of progress & every once in a while I try & sneak some more things in the trash! Don't tell. I try to escape from this nightmare of a town on the weekends to visit my friends in surrounding areas. This past weekend, I stayed with one of my friends, Mackenzie, in Dothan. She just made the move there & is finishing her classes online. We made a trip to visit one of her childhood friends, Emily, in Eufaula & went out on the lake. That night we traveled back to Dothan & went out downtown to a place called The District. Unexpectedly, the band playing there, Cas Haley, was 2nd runner up on America's Got Talent! They were absolutely amazing & I plan on purchasing their album from iTunes soon! This coming weekend is of course Memorial Day & my plans are still pretty up in the air. My dear boyfriend & I have not seen each other in 2 weeks today. He was an accounting major & is now on the way to finishing up grad school in December & taking the last round of his CPA exam May 31. He leaves, breathes, and speaks studying for this exam so it has been a struggle. Ready for him to conquer his life back again & be able to relax, he definitely deserves it. That's what's been going on here lately....

So, I haven't found anytime to blog lately, but I have had a lot going on. This past week was the dreadfully famous "finals week" & I also found out that my grandmother has ovarian cancer. Finals went well, & good news, I finally finished my book (posting images later). Tomorrow my aunt, grandmother, & I are going to Birmingham for her consultation. I am hoping they give us good news, don't know how much more bad news I can handle. I've heard that ovarian cancer is definitely not the worst cancer out there. Just a few weeks ago she went to the doctor about her liver & there was no sign of this growth, so chances are looking good that she could just have surgery & be done with it! Prayers are a necessity! There's my excuses for no recent blogging. Summer has begun & I'm already bored out of my mind, so I suspect a lot of blogging in the very very near future!
